Eszter
Pilates Instructor

Eszter is known for her friendly and approachable nature, always making clients and newcomers feel welcome and part of the team.
Originally from Hungary, she has lived in England, the United States, and now calls New Zealand home. Eszter began her journey as a yoga teacher in 2018 after earning her certification in Bath, England. Upon moving to New Zealand in 2020, she discovered Pilates and quickly fell in love with the practice. By 2021, she had completed her training and became fully certified in Mat and Reformer Pilates.
Eszter previously opened the first purpose-built yoga and Pilates studio in Waipu, Northland, which became a cherished part of the community. Now based in Auckland, she continues to bring her passion for movement and well-being to a broader audience, helping clients achieve their goals through practical and enjoyable exercises.
I discovered Mat and Reformer Pilates in Northland while covering classes for a local teacher and instantly fell in love. Inspired to deepen my knowledge, I completed my training and have been teaching full-time since 2021. Pilates is now an essential part of my life.
Pilates combines everything I enjoy: improving flexibility like yoga and building strength like weightlifting. Since taking up surfing in 2022, I’ve also seen how Reformer Pilates aids recovery. Even simple moves feel fresh with props like a ball, challenging both body and mind. Pilates always keeps me in the zone.
My classes focus on purposeful movement, often highlighting a specific area of the body to work on. For private sessions, I tailor the focus to the individual’s needs. I aim to move the spine in all directions—flexion, extension, rotation, side flexion, and even inversions—while strengthening the legs and arms for full-body support. And of course, I love adding a good challenge—side-eye from clients means I’ve succeeded!
I love Balance Bloom Pilates for its tailored individual and group classes, which focus on personalized care and individual attention to detail. Combined with its welcoming spirit, it’s truly a special studio in the heart of Parnell.
I started teaching and became an instructor in 2021.
- In 2014, at 22, I cycled solo through two U.S. states during my summer break—a journey that taught me we can do hard things when we give it our all.
- I once went on a night hunt for scorpions.
- I’ve been bitten by a (non-venomous) snake.
- I’ve surfed with dolphins.
